The Torrent is built for people who do not stand still in the rain. PVC-backed polyester keeps water out, and every seam is double-sewn, taped, and heat-sealed, which is three layers of protection at the exact place most rain pants fail. The knees are articulated, pre-shaped to match a bent leg, so the fabric does not bunch when you walk, climb, or crouch. Boot zippers on the lower legs let you pull them on over your work boots without a struggle, and pass-through pockets give you access to the pants underneath.
